Two Pieces of Utilitarian Stoneware, American, 19th century, a molded pitcher with Albany slip glaze, stamped on underside "J.T. WINSLOW / PORTLAND, ME"; paired with a salt-glazed tobacco jar, impressed with the cobalt-highlighted initial, "H", for the Helme family of tobacco merchants. Pitcher with restored chips. Jar with a filled 1 1/4" base chip, a small filled rim chip, a small unfilled rim chip, a minor iron ping to side, and roughness to inner rim for lid. H (of pitcher) 8 3/8".
