Three-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "A. CONRAD / NEW GENEVA. PENN", circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, the front featuring wavy Alexander Conrad maker's stenciling above stenciled geometric and rose motifs. Base with stenciled "3" flanked by flourishes. Freehand cobalt stripes to shoulder and base. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A chip to interior of rim. Light staining to surface.
