Rare and Fine Painted Pine Bucket Bench, American, early 19th century, large-sized bucket or crock bench featuring three graduated shelves and fine, scalloped carving along the edge of its bootjack ends. Surface in 19th century chestnut brown over reddish paint. Impressive in its size, carving, and early painted surface. A shallow 1 3/4" X 1" chip to top edge of left side, which is painted over in 19th century chestnut brown paint. A small chip to interior of the left bootjack end. Other typical wear. L 67 1/4" ; W 16" ; H 51 3/4".
