Scarce Stoneware Canning Jar with Seven-Striped Cobalt Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1870, tapered jar with tooled shoulder and rounded "wax sealer" rim, the front profusely decorated with seven horizontal cobalt stripes. Very nice condition with a very shallow 5/8" chip to interior of rim and some minor nicks to shoulder molding. H 8 1/8".
