Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Batter Pails, Binghamton, NY origin, circa 1870, each of ovoid form with tubular pouring spout and wood-and-wire bail handle, a six-quart example with cobalt highlights, stamped "N. WHITE & CO. BINGHAMTON", and a four-quart example with cobalt highlights, stamped "W ROBERTS BINGHAMTON NY". Roberts batter pail with restored spout chips, crazing to underside, and wear to interior base. White batter pail with crazing to rim, spout, and base.
