One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, Stamped "LYONS", New York State origin, circa 1860, ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with a brushed, crescent-shaped leaf design beside a freehand "1". Cobalt highlight to maker's mark. Excellent, essentially as-made condition.
