Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "RIEDINGER & CAIRE / POUGHKEEPSIE-NY", circa 1875, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a fan-tailed bird perched on a stylized branch. Four short hairlines from rim on front. A glazed-over 3/4" iron ping to side of crock.
