One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "SMITH & DAY, / MANUFACTURERS, / NORWALK, CON.", mid 19th century, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and squared rim, decorated with an abstract, slip-trailed vine motif bearing flowers. Excellent color. Provenance: From a recently-surfaced NC collection, purchased by the consignor decades ago. Excellent, essentially as-made condition.
