Two New York State Stoneware Advertising Jugs, fourth quarter 19th century, both of one-gallon capacity, one with slip-trailed advertising for "Winchell & Davis / Wholesale / Wines & Liquors / Albany / N.Y.", the other slip-trailed with the firm name, "Fee Bros", stamped "COOPERATIVE / POTTERY CO. / LYONS NY". Albany jug in excellent condition with some light staining, a 1 5/8" in-the-firing line at base, which is glazed over, and a tiny flake to bottom edge, probably in-the-firing. Lyons jug in very nice condition with a small spout chip and a small, in-the-firing contact mark to shoulder.
