Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Crocks, Stamped "S.C. BROWN, / HUNTINGTON, / L.I.", New York State origin, circa 1879-1882, both of cylindrical form, a one-and-a-half-gallon crock and two-gallon crock, both with brushed floral motifs and cobalt highlights to the maker's mark and capacity mark. Smaller crock in excellent condition with some small rim chips, primarily to bottom edge of rim. Larger crock with a long in-the-firing vertical crack on interior (not visible on exterior), a rim chip, a minor nick to one handle, and a small chip to interior of rim.
