Scarce Small-Sized Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jar with Stenciled Pinwheel Motif, Western PA origin, circa 1870, tapered form with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim with wax sealer interior, decorated with a diagonally-stenciled group of three pinwheel designs. Provenance: Collection of Lorren Lambert, Staunton, VA. Numerous chips to interior and top of rim. H 6 1/8".
