Eight-Gallon Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jar, attributed to Burlon Craig at the Neely Blackburn Pottery, Catawba Valley, NC, circa 1935, large-sized, cylindrical jar with applied lug handles and semi-rounded rim, the surface covered in a brownish alkaline glaze with drips of rutile throughout. Impressed "8" on shoulder of both sides. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 18 3/4".
