Rare and Fine One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Wreath and Floral Motif, Stamped "LYONS", Thompson Harrington, Lyons, NY, circa 1860, ovoid pitcher with semi-rounded rim, decorated with slip-trailed design of a heavily-detailed wreath surrounding a flower. Stamped "LYONS" below spout. Rare form and artistic, Rochester-inspired design. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, recently found in Hawaii. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with some mottling to surface. Old catalog numbers on underside.
