Two New England Glazed Redware Jugs, 19th century, an ovoid jug with fine streaked lead-and-manganese glaze, Bristol County, MA origin; paired with a small, narrow-bodied jug with lead glaze over a mottled yellow, orange, and light green ground. Bristol County jug with significant exfoliation to midsection, base, and underside, wear to spout, minor wear to handle, a large base chip, and a thin crack to base area. Smaller jug with scattered exfoliation throughout and a crack through handle. Provenance: Dr. Raymond L. Owen Collection. H (of smaller jug) 7 1/4".
