Very Rare Salt-Glazed Stoneware Ink Bottle, Stamped "H. REMMEY", Henry Remmey, Sr., Baltimore, MD, circa 1820, tapered bottle with recessed shoulder and narrow, cylindrical opening, impressed at the base with Henry Remmey, Sr. maker's mark. One of approximately five ink bottles by this influential potter known, all of which are undecorated. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, discovered in West Virginia. Two rim chips and a base chip. H 5".
