Two Pieces of Glazed Redware, Pennsylvania origin, 19th century, a flowerpot with mocha-style seaweed decoration, paired with a cylindrical jar with sponged manganese decoration. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market lot, from a sixty-year private collection. Flowerpot with significant damage, including heavy wear to rim, large areas of exfoliation to surface, and a thin 3" crack from rim. Canning jar with base chips, wear to rim, a small flake to shoulder, and some typical light wear to surface. H (of flowerpot) 7 1/4".
