Scarce Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "W.W. WESTON / HONESDALE, PA", circa 1850, cylindrical jug with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated with a brushed design of a tulip and flower emanating from a circular stem. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Two hairlines on reverse, emanating from base. Staining to surface. A minor base chip. A 1 1/8" chip to underside at edge and a smaller chip to underside at edge. Some wear to surface. A tiny stone ping to front. Two adjacent glazed-over iron pings to base on reverse.
