Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "E.H. FARRAR / NORTH BAY", New York State origin, circa 1851, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed floral design featuring a central tulip flanked by two smaller tulips. Cobalt script "3" to left of decoration. Brushed cobalt highlight to maker's mark. Exceptional color. Excellent condition with a minor chip on interior of rim.
