Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Lids, Eastern U.S. origin, circa 1870, one with unusual stemmed leaf motif, Baltimore, MD origin; the other with recessed top, floral-decorated border, and cross-decorated knob. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market lot, from a sixty-year private collection. Baltimore lid with chips to flange on underside, a U-shaped line to flange, and chips to knob. Other lid in excellent condition. Diameter (of Baltimore lid) 9".
