Glazed Redware Jug, Norwalk, CT or Huntington, Long Island, NY origin, circa 1840, ovoid jug with footed base, semi-rounded spout, and ribbed strap handle, the surface decorated with large manganese daubs and covered in a clear lead glaze. Provenance: Dr. Raymond L. Owen Collection. Wear to one edge of handle. Two minor nicks to opposite edge of handle. Some typical light wear to surface. H 10 3/4".
