Fine Small-Sized Stoneware jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Manhattan or New Jersey origin, circa 1750- 1790, highly-ovoid jar with footed base, heavily-tooled shoulder, and semi-squared rim, decorated around the shoulder with four slip-trailed floral motifs with detailed centers and projections extending between the petals. A beautiful early-period jar, with desirable size, form, color, and decoration. Provenance: Property of a New York State collector. Very nice condition with some small rim chips. H 8".
