Four-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Leaf Decoration, Stamped "E & L P NORTON / BENNINGTON VT", circa 1870, cylindrical jug with tapered spout, decorated with a large slip-trailed design of a leaf surrounded spots. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. A network of tight lines around base of jug, primarily on reverse. Spout chips, the longest measuring 1". A few hairlines in spout molding.
