Two Bell Family Stoneware Jars, circa 1870-1895, a one-gallon canning jar, stamped "SOLOMON BELL / STRASBURG . Va.", paired with a one-gallon cylindrical jar with cobalt swag decoration, stamped "S. BELL & SON / STRASBURG". Provenance: The Stradlings; Solomon Bell jar purchased from Crosscups Antiques at a York, PA antiques show, 6 June 1973; S. Bell & Son jar purchased from Tappan Zee Heirlooms, 21 June 1969. Solomon Bell jar in excellent condition with a small rim chip and two minor rim nicks. S. Bell & Son jar with a few small rim chips.
