One-Gallon Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jug, Stamped "WB", Washington Becham, Crawford County, GA, second half 19th century, squat-shaped jug with tooled shoulder and flared spout, the surface covered in a light-green alkaline glaze. Impressed with Washington Becham maker's mark on top of handle. Provenance: Dr. Raymond L. Owen Collection. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with some in-the-firing, glazed-over crazing to surface. H 9 1/2".
