Fine Four-Gallon Double-Handled Stoneware Jar, Crawford County, GA origin, late 19th century, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder, semi-squared rim, and open handles at the shoulders, the surface covered in a mottled olive-green alkaline glaze. Appealing form and color. Provenance: Dr. Raymond L. Owen Collection. Very nice condition with chips on underside at edge, probably in-the-firing, and some additional firing flaws, including glazed-over surface lines.
