Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "WELDING & BELDING / BRANTFORD, ONTARIO", Canadian origin, circa 1870, cylindrical jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with a brushed and slip-trailed design of three spotted tulips emanating from a central stem. Brushed cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. A few spout chips. A few minor iron pings to surface. A minor in-the-firing base chip. Some traces of old yellow paint to surface, unrelated to any sort of restoration.
