Three Western PA Stoneware Canning Jars, circa 1875, one with heavy cobalt stripe decoration, stenciled "Hamilton & Jones. / STAR POTTERY. / Greensboro Pa."; one stenciled "Hamilton & Jones" above a stenciled rose motif; and one stenciled Jas. Hamilton / & C / Greensboro, Pa.". Star Pottery jar with oversalting to cobalt and a small chip to interior of rim. Hamilton & Jones jar with shallow chipping to base, most of which occurred in the firing. Jas. Hamilton jar with in-the-firing residue adhered to shoulder, minor wear to interior of rim and inner wax sealer rim, a small glazed-over base chip, and some light staining. H (of tallest) 9 3/8".
