Two Western PA Stoneware Jars, circa 1875, a tapered canning jar with freehand stripe decoration, paired with a one-gallon jar with elaborate freehand decoration of a large fuchsia flanked by dashes, along with freehand stripes above and below. Canning jar with two chips to exterior of rim, the larger measuring 1 1/8". Other jar with dryness to surface, a 2" chip to rim, two small chips to interior of rim, three thin cracks from rim, two minor chips to shoulder molding, and some light wear to surface. H (of canning jar) 9".
