Fine One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1860, semi-ovoid jar with semi-rounded rim and tooling to shoulder and midsection, the body decorated with an unusual design of a brushed tulip with long looping stem. Very nice condition with a faint Y-shaped surface line on underside, not visible on interior, and a minor 7/8" surface line at base, which continues 3/4" onto underside and is not visible on the interior.
