Unusual Stoneware Canning Jar with Stenciled Cobalt Double Star Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1875, tapered jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded wax sealer rim, the front decorated with a stenciled design of a star within a star. A restored top-to-bottom crack on left and right sides of jar. An unrestored 1 1/2" line from rim on reverse. Chips to inner wax sealer rim. H 8 1/2".
