Glazed Redware Figure of a Dog, Pennsylvania origin, third quarter 19th century, hand-modeled figure of a dog on base with impressed collar and incised details to head, feet, haunches, and tail. Base with impressed oval border. Dog covered in a dark lead-and-manganese glaze, the base with clear lead glaze. Significant losses to base. An in-the-firing, glazed-over break to front leg. Typical, minor surface wear. H 3 3/4" ; L 4 1/4".
