One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Philadelphia, PA origin, circa 1840, cylindrical jar with tapered shoulder and squared rim, decorated with a band of swag and fan-shaped flowers. Unusual one-gallon capacity mark at shoulder. A 1 1/4" base chip. A minor rim chip. Some fry to area of decoration.
