Rare Slip-Decorated Redware Charger with Tree-of-Life Decoration, American, first half 19th century, large-sized plate with coggled edge, the interior decorated in yellow slip with a folky tree-of-life design including heavily-spotted leaves. A wonderfully-decorated example, surviving in unusually well-preserved condition. Provenance: Dr. Raymond L. Owen Collection. Excellent condition with a few shallow rim chips and a small surface flake at base of tree. Diameter 11 5/8".
