Two Pieces of New York State Stoneware, third quarter 19th century, a one-gallon jug with cobalt foliate decoration flanking a brushed "1", stamped "S. HART", Fulton, NY origin; paired with a two-gallon jar with slip-trailed floral decoration, stamped "PENN YAN". Hart jug in excellent, essentially as-made condition with an iron ping to base. Penn Yan jug with fry to cobalt, a chip and minor nick to one handle, shallow chips and some light wear to interior of rim, and staining to surface.
