Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1840, ovoid jar with tall collar and applied lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a large horizontal tulip design. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals and undersides of handle. Small rim chips. A faint 6" vertical line on one side. A few base chips. Some staining to base.
