Scarce Miniature Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, New York State origin, circa 1825, squat-shaped, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and applied lug handles, decorated on the front, reverse, and along the handles with a series of brushed cobalt dashes. Desirable size. Both handles broken off and reglued. A flake to shoulder. A small chip to rim. A 1 3/4" tight Y-shaped crack to rim area. A flake to underside. Flaking to Albany slip on interior. H 2 3/4" ; Diameter 3".
