Fine Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Incised Floral Decoration, Stamped "I. SEYMOUR & CO. / TROY", New York State origin, circa 1823-1828, highly-ovoid jug with tooled spout, decorated with a crisply-incised design of a daisy with cross-hatched blossom and scalloped leaves. Cobalt highlights to decoration and maker's mark. Excellent overall condition with some staining and in-the-firing flaws, including an iron ping and semi-circular line around upper handle terminal.
