Two Pieces of Randolph County, Alabama Stoneware, 19th century, a small-sized pitcher with tooled body and appealing greenish alkaline glaze with orange spotting, attributed to the Mapp Pottery, circa 1899, ex-Greer collection with Dr. Greer's painted code on underside; paired with a salt-glazed, pedestal-based mortar, second half 19th century. Pitcher with two chips to handle, a chip on interior of rim, and wear to rim. Mortar in excellent, essentially as-made condition. H (of pitcher) 7 3/4" ; H (of mortar) 5".
