Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, Stamped "BROWN BROTHER ,/ HUNTINGTON, / L.I.", New York State origin, circa 1870-1885, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, applied lug handles, and semi-rounded rim, decorated with seven leaves extending across the front. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Provenance: Donald Matties Collection. Shallow, in-the-firing chipping to one handle. One base chip.
