Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "O.L. & A.K. BALLARD. / BURLINGTON. VT", circa 1860, cylindrical jug with pronounced, squared spout, decorated with a large slip-trailed design of a flower with spotted leaves and corkscrewing blossom. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Excellent, essentially as-made condition.
