Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "WHITE'S UTICA", New York State origin, circa 1865, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a fan-tailed bird perched on a vine. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. A chip to interior and exterior of rim. A small chip to one handle.
