One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1845, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and applied tab handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a large two-stemmed clover plant design. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals and a curved line of cobalt underneath each handle. A post-firing rim chip and minor glazed-over rim chip. A handle chip. Two tiny base nicks and two minor in-the-firing chips to underside at edge. Some light water glass staining to surface.
