Slip-Decorated Redware Bowl, Mid-Atlantic origin, circa 1800-1840, with rounded rim molding, decorated on the interior with alternating straight and wavy trails of yellow slip. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, from an eighty-year private collection. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a tiny rim nick and a pencil notation on exterior. H 2 1/2" ; Diameter 7 7/8".
