Unusual Glazed Redware Bank with Applied Woman's Bust, Inscribed "Pennies", Pennsylvania origin, second half 19th century, ovoid bank with footed base, rounded finial, and carved horizontal slot, the front decorated with a molded and applied design of a woman's bust. Underside incised "Pennies". Surface covered in a lead-and-manganese glaze. Base chips. Three in-the-firing lime pings to surface. H 5".
