Glazed Redware Spaniel Bank, attributed to George Wagner, Lehighton, Carbon Co., PA, fourth quarter 19th century, molded figure of a seated spaniel with applied coleslaw mane and tail tip, incised details to muzzle, and coin slot in underside. Decorated throughout with streaks of copper and manganese and covered in a heavy lead glaze. Slot enlarge to removed coins. Mane with two small losses and some typical minor wear. H 6 3/4".
