Glazed Redware Spittoon, Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO'", Pennsylvania origin, circa 1850-1880, with flared base and tooled midsection, the surface decorated with sponged manganese and covered in a clear lead glaze. Impressed on underside with John Bell maker's mark. Hairlines to shoulder and a small base chip. H 4 1/2" ; L 7 1/2".
