Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, Stenciled "JAS. HAMILTON / & CO. / GREENSBORO. PA.", circa 1875, a half-gallon and one-gallon jar, both of similar form, the larger example with freehand stripes below the rim and at base. Half-gallon jar with a 1" x 7/8" chip to interior of rim and two small spots of staining. One-gallon jar with a tight, 2 7/8" inverted Y-shaped crack from rim.
