Two Pieces of Hamilton & Jones Stoneware, Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1875, a canning jar with semi-squared wax sealer rim, featuring Hamilton & Jones maker's stenciling within a banner-shaped foliate motif; paired with a one-gallon jug with Hamilton & Jones maker's stenciling surrounding a central rose motif. Canning jar with 1 1/8" and 7/8" base chips, along with heavy chipping to interior of rim and inner wax sealer rim. Jug with salt drips to surface, a glazed-over handle chip, and wear and a tiny glazed-over nick to spout.
