Unusual Small-Sized Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated with a stylized flower blossom at the midsection and a freehand stripe below the rim. Very nice, as-made condition with a shallow, glazed-over base chip, a small, shallow chip to underside at edge, possibly in the firing, and a shallow, glazed-over rim chip. H 6 3/8".
