Fine Three-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Churn, Stenciled "J.E. ENEIX / NEW GENEVA / PA", circa 1875, cylindrical churn with flared collar and applied lug handles, decorated with an intricately-stenciled, circular design at the center of J.E. Eneix maker's stenciling. Base with stenciled "3" flanked by flourishes. Brushed cobalt stripe below collar. Large brushed cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Excellent form and color, featuring crisp stenciling. A small chip to exterior of rim. Shallow chipping and wear to inner rim where a lid would rest.
